Environmental Design


The Gap’s future store, an in-depth concept program based on the creation of distinct experiences for men and women within the same store, was hailed as a dramatic and innovative departure for the mass retailer. Working with a branding platform developed by SYPartners, we provided experience and brand narrative structure, conceptual design, and detailed design for layout, fixtures, materials, and content organization.

For Gap, we worked in an intense, collaborative, non-stop “charrette” with SYPartners and Gap’s in-house team. Armed with an extensive body of customer research, we were responsible for translating data on customer experience and broad brand goals into conceptual store models that could be leveraged across Gap’s stores worldwide.
