Environmental Design


Palm’s ethos of “Radical Simplicity”, the stripping away of unnecessary and unneeded elements to create an honest and simple experience, was the driver for the design and user experience of this exhibit. The environment needed to be clean and intuitive, echoing Palm’s hardware and webOS operating system.

We designed the event to showcase Palm’s offerings and products and to support multiple activities and destinations within the environment. Custom fixtures encourage people to freely engage with the products, or be guided through WebOS features by a Palm expert.

Creating a unique experience for Palm was an iterative process, requiring a complete understanding of the brand, the products, and the business goals of the event. By breaking down the environment into discrete zones, we were able to deep-dive into the function of each area, and the technology, fixtures, and features that support each.
